Privacy Policy

How we handle your information when you visit this website or contact us. This site collects as little as it can.

You Prepare. You Choose. You Stay Informed.

Who We Are

This website belongs to The Impression ("we", "us", "our"), a marketing technology company with offices in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Beirut, Lebanon.

This policy explains what personal information we receive when you use this website or contact us, why we use it, who else may handle it, and the choices and rights you have. We are responsible for the personal information you send us. You can reach us about anything in this policy at ramy@theimpression.me.

What We Collect

Information You Send Us

Nothing on this website sends your details to us by itself. You contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, and you decide what to share. Depending on how you reach us, we receive:

  • your name, company name and anything else you write in your message;
  • your WhatsApp number and profile name, or your email address, or your phone number;
  • details about your project, such as goals, market, budget range and timing, if you choose to include them;
  • any files or further messages you send while we talk.

Please do not send sensitive information, such as health, financial account or identity document details, unless we have agreed it is needed.

The Start a Conversation Brief

The Start a Conversation buttons can open a short brief. What you type or select there is matched to our services inside your own browser. It is not sent to us or stored by this website.

When you finish, the brief prepares a message for WhatsApp or email. Nothing reaches us until you open that message in WhatsApp or your email app and send it yourself. You can read and change it first.

The microphone button is optional. It uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, and your browser will ask for permission first. Some browsers process that audio through their provider's service, for example Google in Chrome, under the provider's own terms. We do not receive the audio. If you prefer, type instead.

The Logo Maker

The logo maker on the home page asks for your name, work email, company and, optionally, a phone number before you download your mark. These details are checked in your browser and are not sent to us or stored by this website. The page then offers a prepared WhatsApp or email message, and we receive your details only if you choose to send it. If you tick the box agreeing to be contacted about your brand, we will treat that as your request for us to follow up.

Information Collected Automatically

Like any website, this site is delivered by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the host's servers receive standard technical information: your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. The host uses this to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not use it to identify you.

What We Do Not Collect

  • We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking tags on this website.
  • Our own pages do not set cookies.
  • We do not build profiles of visitors or use automated decision making about you.
  • We do not collect payment details through this website.

If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent through a notice on the site before those tools run.

How We Use It

We use the information you send us to:

  • reply to your enquiry and talk with you about your project;
  • prepare a proposal or quote you ask for;
  • deliver and manage any work we agree to do together, including invoicing and records;
  • meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations;
  • keep this website working and secure.

We do not use your enquiry to send you marketing unless you ask us to or agree to it, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

Our Lawful Grounds

In the United Arab Emirates, we handle personal information in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. In Lebanon, we handle it in line with Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data. Under these laws we rely on:

  • your consent, which you give when you choose to contact us and share information, and which you can withdraw;
  • taking steps you ask for before entering into an agreement, and performing that agreement;
  • complying with legal obligations that apply to us.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and the General Data Protection Regulation (or the UK version of it) applies to our handling of your information, we rely on the same grounds: steps you request before a contract and performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, your consent where we ask for it, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running our business, balanced against your rights.

WhatsApp and Other Services

When you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation passes through WhatsApp, a service of Meta. Meta's own terms and privacy policy apply to how WhatsApp handles your account and messages. Email and phone calls are likewise carried by your provider and ours.

A few parts of this website show content from other services. When they load, those services receive your IP address and basic browser information, and their own privacy policies apply:

  • The Website Development page shows a live view of the100me.com, a site we built for a client, inside the page. That site may set its own cookies.
  • On the same page, an interactive project demo loads fonts from Google Fonts, and another loads a graphics library from Cloudflare's cdnjs service.

This site also links to other websites, such as client sites in our work. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies when you visit them.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when there is a reason to:

  • Our team in Dubai and Beirut, where they need it to answer you or work on your project.
  • Service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting, email and messaging, file storage and accounting. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
  • Partners or specialists working with us on your project, only with your agreement.
  • Authorities or advisers where the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect our rights, our people or others.
  • A successor business if The Impression is reorganised, merged or sold, in which case this policy, or one at least as protective, will continue to apply.

International Transfers

We work across the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon, so information you send us may be accessed from both countries. Our service providers, including WhatsApp, email providers and our website host, may store or process information in other countries too.

Where information moves across borders, we take the steps the applicable law requires, for example using providers that offer appropriate contractual and security protections.

How Long We Keep It

We keep an enquiry only as long as we need it to respond and, if we go on to work together, for the length of that engagement. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep certain records, such as contracts and invoices, for longer. Those records are kept no longer than necessary.

Technical request logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for operation and security.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, appropriate to its nature, including limiting access to the people who need it. The website itself does not store your messages, which reduces what could be exposed.

No method of sending or storing information is completely secure. If something goes wrong in a way that affects your information, we will act promptly and notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

Your Rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask us to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and learn how we use it;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information;
  • object to how we use it, including for any marketing;
  • restrict how we use it while a concern is looked into;
  • transfer it to you or another organisation in a common format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email ramy@theimpression.me. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, and we will reply within the time the applicable law allows. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office, to the relevant authority in Lebanon, or to the data protection authority where you live or work.

Children

This website and our services are meant for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Browser Storage

A few pages save small preferences in your own browser so that the design changes between visits. The home page and Services page remember which artwork they showed last (stored under names beginning with "ti-"), so you see a different one next time. The logo maker on the home page remembers the name and style you tried until you close the tab. It does not keep your email, company or phone number.

This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us, is not used to track you, and is not shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings, and the site works normally without it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the website or the way we work changes, or when the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site.
